Becoming Tolerant

A grumpy old man or stingy grandmother-in-law - this is the image many people have of an elderly person. However, this is not always the case. Often people, on the contrary, become calmer with age. And more pleasant to talk to. And you, when you reach old age, have every chance to be happier and less angry than usual. This change in behavior associated with a decrease in hormones. They are no longer bubbling as before, which means that a person can better control his emotions.

What is the number of Tattooist Day in 2022, 2023 and 2024

As for the date of celebration in the coming years, it's simple, as it never shifts and always falls on October 1. This is convenient, as you can put a reminder in advance not to forget to congratulate.

Only the day of the week matters, as it determines what activities to plan. So, in 2022, Tattooist Day falls on a Saturday, in 2023 on a Sunday, and in 2024 on a Tuesday.

Less stress

According to the American Psychological Association's annual "Stress in America" report, seniors are less likely to have a problem like stress. That doesn't mean it goes away for good, no. However, the commitment to it decreases over the years.

A person may still have reasons for stressful situations - not having enough money, a sick cat, and so on - but he no longer reacts so acutely to everything that happens. And thus it saves a lot of nerves.

What gifts to give to the master on Tattooist Day in 2021

What can be given to a tattooist on a professional holiday or birthday:

  1. A set of paints from the manufacturer the person uses.
  2. A heated mug with wireless charging.
  3. A humidifier or ozonator for the air.

  5. Certificate store.
  6. Certificate for a holiday (go-karting, skydiving, paintball, etc.).
  7. Good alcohol or a cigar will be appreciated by those who like such things.
  8. Quality sunglasses.
  9. Name diary in a leather cover.
  10. A digital photo frame.

This is just a small list of gifts. There are no restrictions. You can show your imagination to really surprise the person.

"Crystallization" of intelligence

Old age is not called the golden age for nothing. If only because during this period people are entitled to benefits. And we are not talking about free transportation or discounted utility bills. It's about more substantive things.

For example, the baggage of accumulated knowledge. Or the so-called crystallized intelligence, which continues to improve exactly at age, after 65 or 70. An elderly person's ability to think can be compared to wisdom, and it does not matter that this thinking process occurs at a somewhat slower pace than that of young people. After all, the world is not run by new graduates either.

History of the holiday

Everything started in 2005, i.e. 16 years ago. The initiative came from the Moscow club of tattooed people. Professional community greeted it favorably, and after some brief discussions, it was decided that the holiday will be celebrated annually on the first day of the second autumn month.

Regarding the choice of the date there is also an explanation. The matter is that tattoo artists' workload during the year is distributed unevenly, there is more work in winter and summer. And an interesting feature in the warm period of the year - a large number of customers who are not fans of the direction and often make impulsive decisions, which are then often regretted.

But the beginning of autumn is the so-called dead season, when there are almost no people in the salon. Exactly because of this feature at masters it is accepted to conduct the report of each new working year or season since autumn. That is why the Day of Tattooist on October, 1 is a kind of milestone, from which begins the new segment of life.

By the way!

Many professionals try to prepare for the season by offering new services and buying modern equipment.

Increased capacity for work

An elderly person has a better chance to write a book or develop a brilliant plan. And not because there is no need to go to work and have a lot of free time, but because he has a changing work regime.

It's in youth everyone wants to sleep until lunch, but in old age people become "skylarks. And it's not always due to insomnia. Most often an elderly person just needs 5-6 hours to get enough sleep and have a good rest. So early in the morning, at the most productive time of the day, they are ready for great things!

Traditions of the holiday

This holiday is relatively young - it began to be celebrated widely enough only a few years ago. But it is becoming increasingly popular and is important not only among artists, but also among tattoo lovers. As far as traditions are concerned, the following can be highlighted:

  1. Most often, on this day, professionals prefer to rest, accepting and sending congratulations from colleagues and friends. In the thematic groups of social networks in the morning publish many kind words for the artists who have chosen for themselves this direction of art.
  2. In large cities the masters gather and organize corporate parties or go out into the countryside, if the weather permits. Some people prefer to gather in a smaller circle or even go on vacation to get away from the daily routine and gain strength for new achievements.
  3. Some try to time the day with a new tattoo, and the masters do those designs that they particularly like. In many salons you can get a tattoo with a big discount.

By the way!

Many go on vacation for a while and start work just on October 1, not only to celebrate the holiday, but also to kick off a new stretch.

Fewer fines

The number of traffic accidents involving older drivers is much lower than average. A study conducted by the U.S. Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) showed this. For experts, the results of the study were a bit surprising, because the opposite was expected - after all, age, poor eyesight, health problems. But it turns out that since 1997, the number of fatalities in accidents involving the elderly worldwide has decreased by 42%, and this is primarily due to driving skills and calm driving.

"Grannies are crossing behind my back": the Kirov tattoo master about the number of drawings on the body

The first of October is World Tattooist Day. In honor of the holiday, Kirov tattoo master Dmitry Kataev told about unusual details of his work and how he became the most tattooed man in Kirov. Dima is not only a tattoo artist with ten years of experience, but also a father of two children.

About his tattoos. Dima got his first tattoo when he was 18. By the age of 31, he can't name the exact number of tattoos on his body - there are about two hundred.

I got my first tattoo over 13 years ago, it was the Indian sign of Om. A friend made it for me with a homemade machine.

Dmitry has tattoos on all parts of his body except his nose and right ear. He does not plan to stop doing tattoos, saying that there is always room on his body. He spent about 50,000 rubles on all his body art - many of the tattoos were done for free by his friends and colleagues, and 14 tattoos were done by Dima himself. From janitor to tattoo master. Dmitry's career as a tattoo artist began over ten years ago with an unexpected suggestion.

A friend of mine returned from a trip with a new tattoo, which was clearly unfinished. He suggested I complete it - at that time I already had a self-made machine, but I was not able to draw. That's how it all started. Before the tattoo artist I've worked as anything! Once I was even a janitor.

Unusual tattoos. In ten years of work, Dmitry has accumulated a huge portfolio. Most often his clients get tattoos on their forearms and calves, with snakes being the most popular design. The most unusual places are ears, nipples and the wing of the nose.

The nipples were painted black. A dollar sign was printed on the wing of the nose.

Work non-stop. Dmitry admits that he works a lot. There have been times when he has done tattoos non-stop.

I get high from my work! One session once lasted 12 hours.

Dimitri's largest completed work is a full back tattoo. The smallest was a dot on my finger. Where it hurts the most. Many people are afraid to get tattoos because it hurts. Dima says that the pain is tolerated by each in his own way. Most often, the most "painful" places for tattoos are ribs, neck, chest, groin and inner surfaces of arms and thighs, where the most delicate skin.

It's all very individual. I had painful tattoos on my ribs, palms, chest, and "buns".

About kids. The most "battered" man in town raises a 13-year-old daughter Alexandra and son Alexei, he is 9 years old. Dmitry's daughter has already tried the craft of a tattoo artist - at age five, Sasha had her daddy "tattooed. It was several spots in one place.

My kids have a good understanding of tattoos. My daughter wants a tattoo, but she says that it's very early. And Lesha doesn't want one at all.

Reaction of the people around him. Dima is calm about people's ambiguous reactions to his appearance.

Interest, grumbling, grannies crossing their backs - nothing unusual. A professor in Moscow told me that I would be worse than Salvador Dali. And one woman said: "How did you put up with all this?"

At what age to get a tattoo. Dmitry says that for tattoos usually go to him at age 16-18 years with parental consent. The youngest client was 13 years old - he was sent to redo a tattoo by his father. Tattoo master shares that 50-year old citizens of Kirov also often put the paint under their skin.

My oldest client - a lady of fifty. I did her swallows on the back. A man of about the same age came for a tattoo on his face!

Alcohol and tattoos. The tattooist advises to come to the session sober and not to do the tattoo on a drunken head. Despite the fact that alcohol is a good anesthetic, it can badly affect the appearance of the finished picture.

I don't inject very drunk people. Drunken clients produce more blood, as well as they have no control over their actions and do not always articulate their thoughts clearly. The worst thing that can happen if you do a tattoo drunk is bad care and healing.

Touring. Dmitry works not only in Kirov - he does tattoos in other cities of the country, where he is welcomed in large tattoo studios.

So far I only work within Mother Russia. Mainly in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod. Plans for Europe have shifted because of the coronavirus.

Myths about tattoos. Dima named three facts about tattoos that not everyone knows.

First, there are no temporary tattoos. Second, a tattoo doesn't have to carry a deep or hidden meaning. Thirdly, a good tattoo is not only the merit of the master, but of the client as well, because half the success is in the healing.

Plans and dreams. The Kirov tattoo artist shared that he dreams of traveling around the world.

Plans to do an exhibition of large projects in St. Petersburg. In my dreams - to arrange a trip around the world on a ship and do tattoos wherever I stop!

Earlier we wrote about Kirov residents with face tattoos told how they react to them in the streets, whether it interferes in work and in relationships with relatives.

World Tattoo Day and Curiosity Day

World Tattoo Day and Curiosity Day

If you like adventure and new discoveries, then today is your day. Walk down an unfamiliar road and you're sure to find something interesting. Like in the Alice in Wonderland fairy tale, it will open new doors and new possibilities.

Finding some animal in the street - a dog or a cat - is also no accident. It's kind of like your test, an exam, a test. What you do with this animal, whether you throw it out, feed it, or take it for yourself, will shape your future. Found cats usually bring great happiness.

If you consider yourself a curious person, then today is your day. Curiosity Day.

World Tattoo Day and Curiosity Day

The most curious people are, of course, children. And they are overcome not just by curiosity, but by a desire to learn more about the world around us.

Specialists have noted many cases where it is not people but animals that become "terribly curious. The children's writer Snegirev once told about the curiosity of penguins. While in Antarctica, he found himself at the center of the increased attention of these birds. Penguins literally looked into his mouth when he sat down to eat, watched as an incomprehensible two-legged creature washes, mesmerized watching the primus.

World Tattoo Day and Curiosity Day
Also today World Tattoo Day. If you have long wanted to peck a bird or dragon on your shoulder, isn't it time to go to a tattooist?

Interestingly, the first tattoo belongs to a human ice mummy from 5,300 years ago Etsy (Oetzi), which is the oldest mummy ever discovered. Ancient tribes used tattoos to mark many important life events, such as turning a boy into a man, marriage, punishment, faith or love. One interesting ink recipe consisted of so-called black smoke (derived from wood or oil) mixed with a woman's breast milk.

World Tattoo Day and Curiosity Day

If you like to give pleasure to the people you love, then give them gifts for nothing. Today is Spontaneous Gifts to Loved Ones Day - is a great reason to please someone in unexpected ways. It is believed that a gift made with your own hands is a sincere manifestation of your attention and feelings for the person. For example, you can make a collage of your joint photos to your boyfriend. Well, and the girls just take them to the store, they will definitely find something to buy.
