The future commander was born in 1928 in Argentina and came from a noble Irish family. Ernesto was fond of reading and was well-rounded. He was attracted to the works of Stalin, Marx, Freud and Mussolini. He spoke fluent French, quoted Nietzsche and loved poetry.
Che suffered from asthma from an early age, and because of this he did not even go to first grade school. His mother tutored him at home, and he spent hours reading philosophy and history books. When he was 9 years old he was sent to school. In class, however, Ernesto was not eager to show off his abilities and did not stand out from the others. Possessing a brilliant mind and all-round development, he had no weight among those around him, so he exercised his importance with defiant behavior.
Che shocked children when he drank ink, ate chalk and shot lanterns with a slingshot. To his bullies, Ernesto could smear pigeon droppings on his briefcase or tear pages out of his diary. School teachers noticed that he made various crazy antics in order to get attention. He liked to shock people and evoke vivid emotions. From this we can conclude that Guevara was hardly a self-sufficient person. Having material possessions and not needing anything, he lacked self-confidence. That is why young Guevara decided to become a leader by all means.
