The Sword and the Serpent.
Vision/Revelation.
I was in the middle of a large hall (in a church), the walls and ceilings were decorated with jewels and ornaments, the windows were made of colored glass (a typical cathedral or church). The hall was full of people: rich, poor, sick and crippled, deaf and blind; but all were wearing chains and shackles, none of them free (the image of today's church: people are in church, but they are not free). At the front of the hall was a large stage with a pulpit on one side and a large cage with a huge green serpent inside on the other. Above where the preacher stood was a huge sword, held horizontally by two ropes. There were several preachers on the stage, about 8 or 10, dressed in priestly robes, sitting one behind the other, with each one sitting a little higher than the previous one. The congregation looked at them, and they looked at the people. There was silence for a while, until a thundering voice sounded from the pulpit, as if coming from God himself, saying: "Who will proclaim the wisdom of God?"
The first minister with the Bible in his hands went up, and as he did so, the old green serpent turned and stretched forward with glowing eyes and serpent fangs sticking out, hissing at him. And the so-called man of God, went back to his seat and shoved his Bible under his chair. And then the serpent stretched out his head, touched his sword, and said to the man: "With this sword I will kill anyone who obeys the voice of God."
After a while there was silence. The voice from the pulpit sounded again: "Who will proclaim the wisdom of God?"
The second man in priestly robes came up, and as soon as he took a step forward, the serpent turned against him, and he backed away in fear and sat down, shoving his Bible under his chair (hiding the Word). Again the serpent touched his sword and repeated:
"I will kill you if you obey the voice of God."
And for the third time the Voice rang out from the pulpit, and a third man arose, who did the same as the previous two. Again and again the Voice sounded, until there was not a single clergyman left who could stand up to the serpent. Fear struck them all. And the serpent grinned evilly.
Again the Voice came from the pulpit, saying: "Oh, if only there were a man; Oh, if only there were a man. Oh, if only there were a man who would proclaim all the wisdom of God so that these men in chains could be set free! There is not one man?"
Then a man of small stature (meaning he was a nobody in the eyes of the world) rose to the stage, stood under the sword, raised his eyes to heaven, and said: "Into Your hands, O God, I commit my spirit."
Thereupon he opened the Bible and began to read. He added nothing to it and withheld nothing. As he read the Word, he spoke like one with authority.
And when he finished, the old serpent reached to the edge of the sword and cut one of the ropes. The sword went right over this man's head without touching (thanks to his short stature). A second rope broke under the weight of the sword, the sword swung and pierced the hearts of the priests lined up, pinning them to the wall. A cry of despair sounded from the pulpit, and the assembly rejoiced as the chains were broken and everyone was set free! (The word gave them freedom).
When the vision disappeared, I was given another vision of the Savior on a cloud right above my head. He spoke: "My son, this is the meaning of it all. What you have seen is a secular church, having the appearance of godliness, but rejecting power. It is all covered with ornaments that symbolize the joys of this world, and there is no end to its silver and gold. Men are those for whom I died, but they perish for lack of knowledge. They have eyes but cannot see; they have ears but cannot hear. They are in bondage and must be set free! The scene you saw with the clergy sitting on it is a preconceived notion coming from hell. The pulpit represents the throne of God, and the old serpent is Lucifer. The sword you saw is the Word of God. The ropes holding it denote the power of the Word to give life and take it away. Life was given to a man of small stature and taken from ministers who did not preach My Word! These ministers are the men (and women) in every church who claim to know Me, but teach My people things that are not written in the Book of Life. Their pride, arrogance, and worldly spirit compel them to obey Satan, who is a liar and the father of lies. Each clergyman has surpassed the other in sophistication, prevalence of their writings, discussions, and other things, but they have only paid attention to the "letter" of the Word, but they have missed the "spirit" of the Word. And the day will come, and it is near when they will all perish just as they did in the vision.
